SciFinder and Reaxys, Chemical Databases now available via the web
The MIT Libraries provide access to two chemical databases, which are now available via the web.
Prior to the availability of the web interface, SciFinder and MDL CrossFire Commander had been available via Citrix.

Usage notes
- If you are accessing from off campus, or from a private subnet on campus, you will need to run the MIT VPN before connecting.

- First time users of the web interface to SciFinder will need to register.

The SciFinder license covers MIT faculty, staff, students, post-docs & researchers. MIT affiliates and consultants will not be eligible to register.

The SciFinder registration pages gets the username from the certificate and verifies against Roles Database, to ensure that user is an MIT employee or a student. MIT affiliates, and users who show up as "other" in Roles will not be able to register.
